This shade is GREAT. Cut precisely to fit, easy to install and one of them has stayed up for 1 1/2 yrs., been moved to another window and is still up. I worried that the shade might fall after time but it has not. The first one was "light filtering" which was nice but not enough at night on my brightly lit street. The second one is "blackout" and is PERFECT. First one was moved to a guest room. I would very happily order from them again.Love these blinds. Easy to install, there’s a tab you press and it pops open making a secure fit. I need them to keep heat out during summer so can’t for sure verify it’s heat reducing as claimed. It does keep out light, they’re in my kitchen so don’t need blackout but they do offer complete privacy.I just had my windows encased with moulding, did not want to drill into them. These are perfect if you want a no tools needed option.One arrived broken, the tension didn’t work so it would not retract up. Emailed customer service they had it picked up by UPS. I have not had it installed yet, it’s too large for me to do myself need hubby’s strength but I’m assuming it works. Arrived about 3 weeks later.The 'Redi Shade Simple Fit Made to Width Custom Cordless Honeycomb Cellular Shades, Cream Blackout' are easy to install and relatively inexpensive (compared to custom order blinds, like Hunter Douglas). However, because of the space needed to accommodate the no drill mounting mechanism, there is a noticeable amount of light leaks on the sides of the blinds - about 1/4" on the left side and 1/2" on the right side. For the two windows in the room I have these blinds installed in, they do get the room pretty dark when there is bright, direct sunlight outside. But the light leaks on the sides do illuminate the room more than I would like.So it's a tradeoff on whether you are willing to pay for custom blinds that will have a tighter fit and less light leakage, or if you can live with it and save yourself some time and money. The Redi Shade blinds arrived quickly and again were easy to install.I measured and double-checked precisely the exact width of the window, and I also emailed the Redi Shade company directly. They specified to order exactly your precise width measurement and to not factor in any buffer for the mounting mechanism. I found this guidance to be spot on - the tension mounting mechanism worked as advertised. (If you really want the tightest fit possible though, you can add at MOST an additional 1/8" to your measurement. My two cents though - YMMV.)Great product. Went up very easily. Unfortunately, the color is kind-of off and the shade is actually a light grey. The grey of the shade is much darker than the white trim on the shade.Ordered 58 inch width and it just barely fit into my 58 inch width window which is perfect, there is some light that gets through on the sides so it’s not total blackout but pretty close to it. I like how they stay in place however high you choose to have the blinds. Blocks out the heat which is nice and they seem very sturdy. Installation is very easy and you don’t have to make holes which is a plus. Would absolutely recommend.Needed some 'extra' help, and Customer Service bent over backwards to help me with my problem.Difficult window to cover since it's located in a spiral staircase with no landing to stand on. I installed it from the side in about 4 minutes. Room is cooler already with this East facing window covered. Incredible!i want to but this product again but they increased the price a lot, if they leave it at the same price i will buy itThis shade really was simple to install, it actually took longer to measure my window to order the right size than it did to click it into place. We are going to order more for our other windows now that we know how easy they are and how good they look! It blocks out the light well, too. The other thing I like is that there are no holes to drill in the wall, trim, window casing - nowhere! If you ever want to remove it, just pop it back out and no holes left behind.
