These roller shades come have both Light filtering and blackouts options. The blackouts are perfect to help keep your bedroom dark during the bright early summer days. Light Filtering shades let some light in but still give you privacy. For the Light Filtering shades, the lighter colors will let more light in and the darker colors will b;ock more light. All these roller shades are completely private. We can customize these blackout roller shades up to an 1/8th of an inch. Once you click your size you will see a "Customize Now" button on the top right. You then type inside the window frame mount or outside the window frame mount and you exact measurements to the 1/8th of an inch. You will also see 3 lift options under the customization options.

ATTENTION PLEASE READ. We can customize these blackout roller shades up to an 1/8th inch. Once you click your size you will see a "Customize Now" button on the top right. You then type inside the window frame mount or outside the window frame mount and you exact measurements to the 1/8th of an inch. You will also see 3 lift options. Order slightly larger sizes in the drop down. For example, if you need 24 1/2w x 48 1/2 order the 25w x 54h size and then customize if from there.
For an inside mount, give us the exact measurement of the opening to the 1/8th inch and WE will take a 1/8 inch deduction off the exact measurement given so the shade will fit perfectly in that opening. The shade has to be slightly smaller then the opening to fit inside. Again we take the deduction so give us the exact opening. You need at least 2 inches of depth at the top of the window for an inside mount.
For an inside mount you will have a slight gap on each side because the brackets take up a little over 1/2 inch on each side then you have the material. All widths include the brackets. So material width will be at least 1 1/4 inches smaller. Keep this in mind for an outside mount because you can go wider unlike an inside mount where you give us the exact opening to the 1/8th inch.
For an Outside Mount we take no deductions. The shade will come exactly that size from bracket to bracket. No sunlight gets through this shade and is WHITE facing the street. All roller shades can be made as a continuous cord loop or cordless. Any Width over 84 wide or 84 high will have to have a cord on the right or left side.

Well to begin with, this is a blackout shade, as it does block out the light. However, it’s highly flawed in that there is no system to it. It lets in sone much light above, and to the sides in the 1/4 inch needed for clearance for the mounting brackets, that it leaves the room with too much light. Luckily I am handy so managed to swing by the hardware store and purchase “track making material” that the shade can fit into, to “ seal” the sides, snd in addition our house has a particular stained wood theme that made it do I could add a decorative piece to the upper part of the window which blocks the light. For the price, I feel they should include 2 plastic track pieces which would complete it as a system to be sealed off from light penetration. I purchased sone aluminum u shaped trim pieces and painted them white. It was a little fun project, but for the price, I shouldn’t have had to be this inventive. I wish I went with a blind that came with a track. I’ll give it 3 stars because it’s a halfway finished item. Step it up you guys, you could have a really good product if you’d just complete it.We are using this in a second home, so haven't used it a lot yet, but so far, we are very pleased. It did arrive with a little broken plastic bit, but we just wanted to get it installed to darken our infant son's room right away, so we didn't bother to return, and it doesn't seem to have effected the action. It fits perfectly, as per our provided dimensions. It has a much nicer mechanism than the cheap-o, cut-to-size blackout shades from chain hardware stores, which tend to lose their spring and only retract partially after a short time. There is also more control in how little or how much you want to extend or retract the shade, and it retracts more smoothly, less abruptly, than the cheaper versions. And it was a fraction of the price of other custom options we'd considered with a much shorter lead-time.I purchased this shade a few months ago and waited to write a review. I wanted to see if the shade would hold up. The quality of the shade is amazing. It does not feel cheap. The hardware is solid and the shade moves without any glitches or hesitation. Once pulled down it stays down, it does not roll back up on its own. I purchased the shade to cover a glass block window in the bathroom of a house we had just purchased. Mornings in the summer when trying to get ready for work it gets unbelievably hot (window does not open) and shade blocks out the sun and heat. Great privacy at night too. I highly recommend this shade and the company. I am extremely happy with my purchase.I struggled to decide on the best window covering for a South facing arched window without losing the arch shape (we'd ripped down the wooden fan arch covering and vowed it would never go back up!!). Because the window is south facing my office desk was getting too much direct sunlight in the afternoon but I didn't want black out shades either. This worked out perfectly and I love how you barely notice it when its rolled up.Bought these shades for our new addition. In a short period of time, the one roller mechanism stopped working. It got stuck in the down position and we were unable to get it up. Returned it and received a replacement. Similar thing happened where this time the the 2nd shade will not stay down. I would not recommend this product.I love these shades. They installed easily and look great. They're very well made (We have 2 cats with claws) and very easy to raise and lower. I couldn't be happier and would order again if I decide to replace mini-blinds (hate those things) in other rooms.Excellence in every aspect of this purchase.
