We love our sun shade! It looks great, and keeps our patio table in shade throughout the day! It blocks enough of the sun to drastically reduce the heat. I mounted one corner directly to the house, and the other two corners to 6x6 pressure treated lumber buried 3 feet in the ground at a 5 degree angle in concrete. So far it has shrugged off the strongest winds it’s faced. In fairly strong winds it doesn’t even really flap at all. It just pulls straight up. Very happy with it.Does not come with hardware, but has 3 metal rings built in. Lets rain through as I want (it is hung high over my pool). It makes swimming so much nicer in the day. I take it down for high winds or hard storms. I hung it with rope and 3 of those spin-to-tighten double hooks that I got at HomeDepot for a buck each. Great project.It’s cool and it’s reasonably priced. It may take a couple adjustments but it seems durableI have 2 of these 28' sails and a half dozen others up in my backyard all summer long. My oldest one is 4 years old now and still in great shape. They have been up in some +60mph Colorado wind and have had no problem. I struggle to put them up because my geometry skills are poor but once they are up, and taught they are fantastic. Not only are they great to sit under but the grass stays so much greener under them. (here in Colorado anyways) The metal d-rings included on this sail are what set them apart from the others.Totally provides shade, color is perfect2022 UPDATE.WOW! After the Most WINDIEST Year so far, our sails finally started to fray. Note if the weather channel says “10-15”mph winds, that means 20-25 on our hill. We had those type winds countless of days this year. Glad we got 4 summers with these bad boys. Would totally buy again but debating if it’s worth spending the money to go with something more permanent since this is our forever home. Still solid buy.So we would always by the $35-$60 umbrellas from academy to shade our tanning ledge. Unfortunately we live on our very windy hill and they’d always break after a summer. Once we had our daughter, we wanted more shade so she could spend more time out in the pool. Found these suckers and they’ve made a HUGE difference. We’re in Texas where it’ll easily feel like 110°. These shade sails make it at least 10 degrees cooler. Our 3 month old can now spend 30-45 min outside in the pool. We have shade over our pool and deck from 10AM-5PM. We’ll see if they last all summer. We’ll probably take them down during winter time. But I’ll take $120 every summer for full shade over on average $50 for a durable umbrella that only shaded the tanning ledge. Only advice is to make sure you measure well, or even better have three people hold each corner so you know where to set your poles. We used 2” Rigid pipe concreted in the ground.This item turned out great.This sail is advertised as 28 x 28 x 28. I did not measure but believe it is as advertised. Color is tan and after two weeks has maintained its color. I mounted 3 10’ cast iron poles in cement to mount the sail. I do not leave this up permanently because of the wind that is always present. I am still playing with the mounting, but so far it has worked much better than expected. I hang this myself (73 years old) in about 15 minutes. I have a 15 X 30 above ground pool and it covers about 1/3 to 1/2 of the pool depending on time of dayIt is excellent quality and re-enforced along the edges. I have a hand winch on one pole and crank it tight.I would definitely buy this again.Superbe qualité. Livraison rapide. Facile d'installation.
