Several other reviewers mentioned the size of this "one size fits all" cap. They're entirely correct. I have a head size that would normally be classified as XL (motorcycle helmets, etc). This cap fits loose as a bucket on my head, and the back side of it is just ginormous. Since it's not worth the effort to return it, I've tried temporarily to get it to fit by rolling under some of the back of the hat under along with the headband (kind of like how my wife rolls her shirtsleeves' hem under a time or two). It shortens the "back top" of the hat by about 1.5" or so, fitting my head more adequately.It worked well enough that I'll make this a permanent fix by running a stitch through it to keep it in place. Looks much better this way and fits just about perfectly.The only thing that keeps me from giving this hat 5 stars is that the polyester material is a bit rough and scratchy. I have very sensitive skin, so this is more bothersome to me than it might be to other people -- but in fairness, even for me it's a very minor complaint. In all other respects, the hat is really quite nice. The mesh does indeed allow some air through it, which helps keep my head from getting too hot even in strong sunlight (in marked contrast, for example, to a black leather ivy cap that I also own), and the size was exactly spot on.My first hat lasted just 1 day...because I gave it away to homeless guy that I was helping because it just looked good on him and gave him a more distinct look than a baseball cap did since it seems everybody and his brother is wearing one of them. I immediately ordered another one. It fits my large head great (I am an XL and it would fit a much larger head than mine) and looks good and being mesh (very small holes but you can see through it) it is cool enough to wear even on these warm spring days. A great hat for those of us with bigger heads.It fits my big head and breathes well, but the bill is so wide it could be a beret. I like a more duckbill type of look.This hat is very oversized on top, which makes it look kind of strange to me. It came with a wrinkle that was very hard to get out, I had to iron it to make it look right. It was the most poorly made hat I've ever seen, the hat stuck out a half an inch more on the right side, it was very lopsided. I had to return it after getting laughed at the first time I wore it. Nothing good about this hat.It was a nice hat, and I have a large head (like a 7 3/44ish) and this hat was true to the first word Big!A gift for my son-n-law who admits to having a large head BUT this fit & he looked great in it.....he loved the light weight style (a semi-tight mesh or weave) he said it's perfect for summer....the bill is just right ,not too much of an overhang....I loved the price.....I think I got this gift right !The plastic, inside the brim, cracks easily.
