Measurement of shade sail is from D ring to D ring, edges are made slightly curved to prevent middle from sagging for best appearance and performance. Shade sail should be approx at least 0.5 ft to 1 ft shorter than the distance between actual mounting points without any cable extension, additional installation hardware kits may be required to create mounting points and tension.

I wanted something that would provide some needed shade for a small area in backyard. After reading reviews I purchased the triangular 12x12x12 in beige. The shade came with coated wire cables, but I didn’t need them, they were of good quality. Simple install and a durable product. The material is good quality and the stitching is well done. I used a long piece of green plastic coated rebar Like you’re buying the garden center at Lowe’s for the third point. I useed para cord and a tent stake in the ground to keep the pole up right and taut.I did this for both sail cloths. The other one is mounted on the house and the third point meets the other sail cloth point. Each have their own stake in the ground and parasail cord going to a tent peg.Eventually we will sync a 9 foot post in the ground and attach the two points to the post.They last about a year and a half in Florida.
