I bought this to protect me from the intense heat and sun at an event where I had to be in the sun all day long. It was perfect and the wide brim was especially helpful as well as the interior forehead protector and the mesh side panels for ventilation. I have a few from Australia, and one made in the USA. They wear well and last a long time. One of my hats finally wore out after many years of use, the seams started coming apart. I wanted a wider brim so I ordered the Wide Brim Canvas Cooler in size large as all my other Barmah hats are large. The hat didn't fit as expected. After looking at the sizing chart, it does appear this hat in large is supposed to be 7 1/4 whereas their other hats in large are 7 1/8. My other Barmah hats fit snug, and even with the sizing material added this one still doesn't fit as snug, but may be OKAmazon shipped it in a plastic bag so the crown was crushed flat, but seems to be OK after I pushed it all back into shape. Shipping a hat like this in a plastic bag probably isn't the best method.A bit disappointing as the brim is somewhat 'puckered', not smooth and flat. I have had a few like this but they were $20 hats. I spent the extra money so as to have a nicer hat without the 'cheap hat' flaws . It didn't work out that way.Barmah hats are greatHat is very high quality, love it. But... Barmah notes this hat is NOT crushable. I read customer reviews that hat arrived crushed in a bag and somehow thought my experience would be different. Hat wadded into ball. In a bag. Top of hat punched back out okay but many permanent creases in brim and brim is floppy. I paid top dollar for quality safari style and got something looks like it's been bouncing in the trunk of car for a few years.I like the style and comfort of this hat
