I purchased these on a whim to decorate my dining room for Christmas. You see, my husband purchased this hideous set of miniature plates with six of our most popular presidents on them (???) at an estate sale and insisted they hang in our lovely formal dining room EVEN THOUGH they are hot glued onto orange felt which I have offered to try to swap out on more than one occasion. It was actually his suggestion to adorn them with little Santa hats this year, and since I am always looking for ways to make this decor less hideous, I agreed that it might be a nice little refresh for the holidays. I bought these ones because it seemed like they might be the right size to "fit" on their heads. The hats ended up being a tad smaller than I thought, but overall I'm happy with them. I bought some large removable glue dots to affix them because God forbid I use some sort of paste that leaves a residue, rendering this antique permanently damaged ?‍♀️ Haven't figured out a purpose for the little Santa jackets yet, but I'll hold onto them just in case since the whole package was a bit pricey for 6. It took our guests a little while to notice them (I blame the orange felt) but everyone that came to our house this weekend seemed to get a real kick out of them.
